A hypothalamic neuropeptide that stimulates GnRH release, triggering LH and FSH secretion. Being studied for reproductive medicine and as a diagnostic tool.
Mechanism of Action
Binds KISS1R (GPR54) on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, triggering GnRH pulsatile release. Upstream regulator of the entire HPG axis.
Dosing Protocol
50-100 mcg subcutaneous or IV bolus. Research protocols vary widely.
