Also known as: Lys-Pro-Val, Alpha-MSH fragment
A C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-MSH with potent anti-inflammatory properties. Being studied for gut inflammation, IBD, and skin conditions.
Mechanism of Action
Enters cells and directly inhibits NF-kB nuclear translocation, suppressing inflammatory cytokine production. Does not require melanocortin receptor binding for anti-inflammatory effect.
Dosing Protocol
Oral: 200-500 mcg daily (BPC capsules for gut). Subcutaneous: 100-500 mcg daily.
