NAD+
Also known as: Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, NAD IV
A critical coenzyme found in every cell, involved in energy metabolism, DNA repair, and sirtuin activation. Declines significantly with age.
Mechanism of Action
Serves as electron carrier in mitochondrial energy production. Activates sirtuins (SIRT1-7) for DNA repair and gene regulation. Substrate for PARP enzymes in DNA damage response.
Dosing Protocol
IV: 250-1000mg infused over 2-4 hours. Subcutaneous: 50-100mg daily. Oral precursors (NMN/NR): 250-1000mg daily.
